Why is valium illegal in America when it’s over the counter in places like Mexico?

Neil, having valium without a prescription is a felony in the U.S.

Answer:

Mexico and the U.S. have different legislatures. They do many things differently. If you want to know why some specific member of congress would vote for a law giving the FDA the authority to regulate drugs, call that member of congress and ask.

Valium is legal with a prescription in America. Mexico sets a bad example for just about everything in human existence.

Because the US has a right to pass it’s own laws (for now anyway) and Valium is illegal to possess without a prescription. Valium is a controlled substance and because of that it is illegal to possess without first getting a doctor’s prescription. What Mexico does is Mexico’s business.
