You can be charged for possession of a controlled substance, depending on the quantity they can add with intent to distribute. Both of which are felony crimes with mandatory jail sentences.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS, IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE A PRESCRIPTION FOR THAT VALIUM THEN YOU WOULD BE ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. YOU WOULD PROBABLY GET PROBATION YOUR FIRST TIME, BUT EXCUSES DON’T WORK WHEN YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. I HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION.

I got caught with 2 vicodin 15 years ago they were in small container that is for perscritions, I told the police they belonged to my friend who did have a perscription for them and that she left them in my car. All was the truth and they dropped charges. If you can’t show proof and hope fully this your first time they will give you probation. Best of luck to you.
