I have test panic, and have been treating it along with a psychiatrist my anxiety issues.
I have to take a very important test tomorrow, so my doctor told me to take 1/2 of a 10mg Valium pill before I go to sleep since my test is early in the morning. At 8 am.
So considering I do take the pill at around 10 pm, will it still be in effect the next morning while I’m taking the test ?
I was wondering, wouldn’t it be wiser to take it before the test ?
Please help, I’m panicking about having panic !
maybe i should ignore the doctor then and take xanax…. ? xanax doesnt cause a lot of drowziness
i dont want a good night’s sleep. i want to be calm enough and have no palpitations, difficult breathing during the test!

if you take it in the morning you will be in no shape to take the test at all. Take it the way your doctor told you to and you will be fine
No, it lasts 2 to 4 hours, that’s just to help you get to sleep, not stay asleep, there are different drugs for that. If you’re panicking about having panic, you don’t have anxiety, you have a panic disorder and you need cognitive behavioral therapy. I haven’t had an attack since.

Truthfully it doesn’t last long enough 10mg is strong for someone that has never had it before but 5 is weak and you wont feel it the next morning even if you did take the whole 10 mg it would just make you groggy I wouldn’t take it right before a test until you get use to them or you will be stoned off your ass.They are really good for anxiety though just they are very habit forming and be careful who you tell you have them or they might try to steal them or beg you.
