I’m gonna get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and was wondering if the medication BACLOFEN can take the substitute of VALIUM. I read on the internet that patients usually get some sort of medication the to take the night before the surgery and also early morning the day of the surgery. I didn’t get any. I found BACLOFEN in my house and was wondering if that is a good substitute. BACLOFEN is a muscle relaxer while VALIUM is a anxiety reducer.
If you are having a general or IV sedation, do not take these. There could be drug reactions. Any meds you need will be dispensed to you before the surgery.

You feel very, very relaxed, and you go to sleep. Good for easing muscle pain, for easing anxiety. Bad if you need to feel alert and chipper the next day!
when I’m not under stress still I have lots of gas, but when I take Valium on days I’m under too much stress, I don’t have gas. What does Valium do to my intestine? thanks
the valium is a muscle relaxant. your stomach and intestines are/contain muscles, so when they relax they won’t give you gas.
Would it decrease the effect of the work out or be bad for the muscles?
After the workout is fine. Don’t take it before because your risk of injury to a muscle is greater.
If you are taking the valium for a muscle spasm, then you should talk to your doctor about making sure that your workout is not making the spasm worse.
I have claustrophobia and need to sleep for at least 3 hours on the plane
ativan is a muscle relaxer and would be better for a short plane ride than Valium. Valium leaves to much of a drug hang over and will stay in your system much longer. at least With ativan (as Long as you do not mix with alcohol ) it will be out of you system by the time you get up from your nap.

Valium IS a muscle relaxant geniuses!!! Take the Valium as needed for your muscle spasms, also try stretching(like Yoga), and exercising. But if it still bothers you see you doctor for further treatment.

I’m doing a paper on the effects of chemicals on the body for anatomy… just wondering what would happen if one mixed a muscle relaxant, an antidepressant, and a sleeping aid.
As in, the effects it would have on the body before death (e.g. spasms, coma, nausea, etc.)
