Can taking 2 Norco 5/325′s and 1 generic 5 mg Valium kill you?
At first, Norco is a combination of two drugs (1) acetaminophen,which is a pain reliever also known as paracetamol or panadol (2) hydrocodone bitartrate, which is an opioid analgesic (strong pain reliever) and an anti-tussive (anti-cough). Generally, opioid analgesics can cause respiratory depression if high doses were used or if another drug i taken which can decrease the metabolism of this drug causing it to stay longer in the body and may result in toxicity. Valium is a benzodiazepine works as a sedative usually given for people with panic attacks or those who find it hard to sleep.
Therefore, patients receiving other narcotics, antihistamines, antipsychotics, antianxiety agents, or other CNS depressants (including alcohol) concomitantly with NORCO® may exhibit an additive CNS depression. When combined therapy is contemplated, the dose of one or both agents should be reduced.

10 mg is the highest recommended doses. And at this dose most people will be fairly non-functional, unless they have tolerated to the effects of the drug. Valium is no longer the drug of choice for treating anxiety disorders. If prescribed it should be used only over the short term as it has a relatively high addiction potential and it’s anti-anxiety effects dissipate over the long run. If it is used as an anti-convulsive agent, again the dose is between 2 and 10 mg, several times a day.

yes it can and in many cases it will work. Because it all depends on why you are depressed. I was extremely depressed when they gave it to me years ago. It was not just an anxiety but severe depression and that is what they gave me for about three months and it worked.
I realize it is normally used for anxiety but in many cases it is use in conjunction with anti-depressants. Of course you will need to consult your physician. However, if you already have a prescription you have already discussed this in some way. If you doctors does not realize that you are depressed, and you are just taking them without his knowledge, he needs to know about the depression too.
He may want you to take that or a combination of something else. There are many new medications on the market today that work as well, if not better than Valium that do have an anti-depressant agent in them and work for more than just one problem. Please make sure you tell him all of your problems and the reason you think you need the Valium. It is used more for your nerves and has a calming effect.

My cat is on Diazepam (valium) and Clomicalm (anti-depressants) due to anxiety/depression. It’s been a week and for the first couple of days she was very zonked out and didn’t really move around but she’s perked up a bit now and seems better but she is eating loads and loads and has twice messed herself. I had noticed that she wasn’t going to the toilet much and thought maybe a side affect was constipation. Last night she pooped loads in the bathroom – she didn’t even make it to the litter tray. As far as her eating, it is way more than she usually eats and as I have two others it’s quite difficult to keep tabs on what they’re eating. She seems to eat everything that gets put down and then wants more. I was wondering if anyone else had experience of this medication and what side affects they noticed? I tried ringing the vet but the number keeps being engaged – plus I don’t want to hassle them unnecessarily.

it is difficult to say because it depends if you come from a line of addicts or not. it could take weeks to many months to become addicted.
if you are worried about becoming addicted, talk to your doctor about another anti-anxiety medication.
i suffer from nerves and cant leave the house ive tried valium off the black market and they do the trick,the doctor has gave me so many different anti depresant but they dont work.
