can you take valium and not affect the birth control?
I did ask the pharmasist and my primary care and they said no but I read online it does.
Answer:
Some birth control pills can inhibit the metabolism of Valium. This means there may be higher levels of Valium in your system that can can cause increased drowsiness and make you less alert. So there is a possibility your doctor may have to lower your Valium dose. Talk with your doctor before making any changes.
It’s not definite, but webmd doesn’t mention any drug interactions. My bet would be no, as valium doesn’t do much as far as hormones go.
